Lighting Up Electric Lane

Project
Electric Lane, Leederville

Overview
Electric Lane was once an overlooked laneway tucked behind Leederville’s main strip. Inspired by Melbourne’s Laneways, it has been reimagined as a food and entertainment precinct, tied to local history—the Leederville Hotel was the first business in the area to run on electric light back in 1905.

I was engaged by Hesperia to activate the walls during the construction and leasing phases. My role was to inject visual energy into the space before the precinct opened, creating an atmosphere that hinted at what was to come while also sparking curiosity and movement through the lane.
